For anyone who remembers watching the Pokemon cartoon as a kid, this spoof movie parody is a gem.

Plus whoever worked on these animations should be making REAL movies. Great stuff.

I've Got No Reason to Apologize...

That's My Generation.

Another video coming from my MBA Economics class. This one more on the clever / inspirational side, rather than funny.

Glee Billionaire Parody

So, following last night's season premiere of the best show on TV, Glee, I set out to YouTube to find the clip of their cover of Travie McCoy's song Billionaire. I didn't find it, but what I did inadvertently stumble across was this amazing Glee-inspired parody of the song, performed by Trevor Shand.

The Vote for Rory Campaign

This one goes back 3 years, but also has yet to appear on the blog for unknown reasons. As part of the NHL All-Star Game, every year, fans have the ability to vote on the All-Star starters. Those players, then, usually some of the game's best, are guaranteed to make the All-Star Team, but any player is able to receive votes! A group of fans decided it would be funny to see defenseman Rory Fitzpatrick, a career journeyman and fringe NHLer, in the 2007 game, and started a voting campaign. Unfortunately (or fortunately...), their voting fell a little short, but it did produce some splendid "campaign ads":

And my personal favourites, the attack ads:

Speaking of Kenya...

And that last video reminded me of another really old one. This was actually one of the internet's very early viral videos, a spin off of the Badger theme, which you can see HERE.

Here is the looped video as it was intended to be viewed: http://www.weebls-stuff.com/songs/kenya/

Powerthirst

This one is quite old, but I was reminded of it today and realized it's not on here yet. So, allow me to present the world's greatest energy drink...

Pro Athletes Bash on Twitter

Fan tries to steal World Cup

While the talk the day after was about Spain's 1-0 triumph in the World Cup finals, my favourite moment of a passive nailbiter came before the opening kick off. I don't know how or why this guy thought he would succeed, but...

Datsyuk + Zetterberg Sitting in a Tree?

Funny slip-up on a VERSUS telecast of a Detroit Red Wings game... Henrik Zetterberg and Pavel Datsyuk had tremendous... what?! Now that's what you call team bonding.

Their offspring would clearly be the next Gretzky.

The Original Funny Idol Audition

With all this Larry Platt talk, I figured I'd look back at the original American Idol funny man, who made a decent (albeit short-term) career for himself based on his TV audition. I'm talking, of course, about William Hung.

Allen Iverson's "Practice" Rant
